Events For The Gays

Yes, there is a gay scene in Memphis! It is weird, just like everything else about this city. If you are a member of the LGBT community or just have tons of friends, some of whom are part of the LGBT community, well then, you should get involved in some of these things! (If you have a problem with LGBT people, please see bottom of page for disclaimer.)

Feb. 10: Tennessee Equality Project GUMBO CONTEST. Earnestine & Hazel's. 4:30 PM. Put together a team and register by February 1 to dethrone the returning champions. If you just want to go eat a lot of food, it's $10.

DISCLAIMER: Hi. If you have a problem with LGBT people, you shouldn't be reading this blog, because you are decidedly not part of what makes Memphis a cool place to live. We are a diverse, large city and we are good neighbors to each other. At least we should be striving for that.

Signed,

The Editor, who, among other things, happens to be a Gay.
